Davis Finishes Inside Top-20 as Titans Take Sixth
JANESVILLE, Wis.—Finishing sixth out of 14 teams, the UW-Oshkosh Titans women's golf squad shot 133 over par in two round of competition at the UW-Whitewater Spring Invite.
On day two of the Spring Invite, Lauryn Davis finished in a tie for 17th shooting an 84 on day two for a final round score of 169. Josie Hofer shot an 83 to finish in a tie for 23rd and a final score of 172. Alysaa Dreher shot a 93 (173 final score) while Ava Downie shot an 87 (175 final round score). Hailey Matenaer shot a 98 in her second round to finish with a combined round score of 193.
Sophia Steel finished in a tie with a combined round score of 189 (93 in the second round). Kylie Herrin shot a 95 in her second round, five strokes less than her opening round.
In the first round of competition, the Titans shot +54 over par. The Titans were led by Dreher on day one, who shot an 80. Davis shot an 85 while Downie shot an 88. Rounding the Titans out on day one was Hofer (89) and Mantenaer (95).
Individually competing for the Titans, Steel shot a 96 while Herrin shot a 100.
