Downie Leads Titans at WIAC Championships
REEDSBURG, Wis.--Ava Downie led the UW-Oshkosh Titans with a top-25 finish at 2022 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (WIAC) championships.
Downie shot a combined 258 over three days, +42 strokes. Shooting +52 on the weekend, Taryn Endres finished in the top-40 as Josie Hofer grabbed a top-40 spot, one stroke behind her teammate.
Alyssa Dreher finished all three days at 276 (+60), while Lauryn Davis rounded out the top-5 finishers for the Titans at 277 (+61).
Endres recorded two birdies over the weekend.
Hailey Metenaer finished with a score of 280 in the individual competition and was joined by Kylie Herrin (294) and Gwyn Golembiewski (297). Sophia Steel (306), Kendra Hammel (331), and Sydney Bornhorst (301). also saw action on the course.
Downie was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team.
The Titans finished +203 at the championships.
