Titans Take Fifth At Marian Invite

Kylie Herrin finished tied for 11th individually to lead the UW-Oshkosh women's golf team to fifth place at the 11-team Marian University Invitational on Saturday (Sept.10) at the Rolling Meadows and Whispering Springs golf courses in Fond du Lac.

Lake Forest College (Ill.) won the invitational with a two-day score of 711 to easily outpace St. Norbert College and Wisconsin Lutheran College, which tied for second place at 750.

Rounding out the top five teams were host Marian with 764 strokes and UW-Oshkosh with 774.

St. Norbert College's Emma Laundrie claimed medalist honors by carding an 83 Friday (Sept. 9) and an 88 Saturday for a two-day score with 171. The top five individuals also included Sydney Foulon from Lake Forest in second place at 174, Ashlyn Burdick from Carroll University in third at 177, and a tie for fourth at 179 by Lake Forest's Gabrielle Krebs and Dominik Dantangel.

Herrin shot 93 on Friday and 92 on Saturday for an overall score of 185 to pace UW-Oshkosh. Completing the UW-Oshkosh lineup were Hailey Matenaer in 17th with a two-day score of 188, Sydney Bornhorst in 28th at 198, Sophia Steel in 35th at 203 and Kendra Hammel in 47th at 227.
