Priebe Receives All-WIAC Golf Recognition

UW-Oshkosh senior Erika Priebe has been named to the All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Team for the 2021-22 season.

Priebe, a three-time All-WIAC award winner, joined Andrea Schleeper and Maija Tanberg of UW-La Crosse and Kalli Lux and Ashton Sinak of UW-Whitewater on this year's five-member Second Team.

Players selected to the First Team were Markie Ash of UW-Platteville, Abby Filipak of UW-Stout, Molly Larsen of UW-La Crosse, Lexi Meade of UW-Eau Claire and Lily Sheppard of UW-Whitewater. Filipak was named the league's Player of the Year.

The 2021-22 All-WIAC Team was determined by using a combination of the WIAC Championship results from the fall (50 percent) and the latest Golfstat Adjusted Scoring Average rankings (50 percent). A player must have completed a minimum of eight rounds during the 2021-22 season to be considered for all-conference recognition.

Priebe, who also received All-WIAC Second Team accolades during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, participated in seven tournaments this year and averaged 83.25 strokes per 18-hole round.

Priebe finished sixth among 69 contestants at last fall's WIAC Championship in Reedsburg. She totaled 239 strokes (23-over-par) during the 54-hole tournament after counting daily 18-hole scores of 76, 80 and 83. Priebe previously placed 19th at the league championship in 2019 and seventh in 2018.

Priebe's 2021-22 season also included finishes of second at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Fall Classic, 10th at the UW-La Crosse Invitational and 13th at the Carthage College Firebird Spring Invitational.

Last fall, Priebe became the fourth Titan to receive the WIAC Judy Kruckman Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete Award. Priebe boasts a 3.96 cumulative grade-point-average and will graduate from UW-Oshkosh on Saturday (May 14) with a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Priebe was named an All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons and is a three-time WIAC Scholastic Honor member. The Fox Valley Lutheran High School graduate has been recognized on the Dean's List every semester during her attendance at UW-Oshkosh.

UW-Oshkosh finished fifth in the team competition at last fall's WIAC Championship with 992 strokes. The four-time conference champion Titans acquired their overall score with daily 18-hole results of 322, 334 and 336.

UW-Whitewater accumulated 958 strokes to claim its fifth straight WIAC title and seventh overall. UW-La Crosse placed second with 969 strokes while UW-Eau Claire ranked third with 976, UW-Stout fourth with 988, UW-Platteville sixth with 1,051 and both UW-River Falls and UW-Stevens Point seventh with 1,057.
