UW-Oshkosh begins the 2013 women's golf season with a home meet against St. Norbert College on Saturday (Aug. 31) at the Oshkosh Country Club.

The Titans follow their season opener by hosting the UW-Oshkosh Invitational on Sept. 7-8. The event is expected to feature golfers from Carroll University, Ripon College, Marian University, St. Norbert College, UW-Platteville, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Whitewater and Viterbo University. Last season, UW-Oshkosh finished third at the meet for its highest ranking of the 2012 campaign.

UW-Oshkosh concludes its schedule with four straight road meets, beginning with the Viterbo University Invitational on Sept. 14-15 and the UW-Whitewater Fall Classic on Sept. 20-21.

The Titans conclude their regular season at the UW-Stevens Point Mad Dawg Invitational on Sept. 28-29.

UW-Oshkosh wraps up its fall schedule at the WIAC Championship on Oct. 4-6. The 54-hole tournament will be held at the Lake Arrowhead Golf Course in Nekoosa. UW-Oshkosh owns three WIAC titles, with the last victory coming in 2003.

The Titans return four letter winners from 2012, including seniors Theresa Henke and Sarah Sheldon and juniors Taylor Wenzel and Emily Mallek. Henke led UW-Oshkosh last year with an 18-hole scoring average of 90.6. She placed 16th at the 2012 WIAC Championship.

The squad also includes freshmen Samantha Kuik and McKenzie Paul. Competing for Neenah High School, Paul finished sixth at last year's Division 1 state tournament.

Head coach Liza Ruetten enters her second season leading the Titans.
