Titans' 2011 Schedule Features Six Events

UW-Oshkosh can capture its third consecutive season opener when it tees off the 2011 golf season at Oshkosh Country Club on Sept. 2. The Titans will be opposed in the triangular by Ripon College and St. Norbert College.

Alyssa Chase (Jr. • Sun Prairie) won the individual competition at last year’s opener with her 18-hole score of 87. Kim Sippl (Sr. • Omro) also contributed a third-place effort with her 96.

The Titans’ second challenge is the UW-Oshkosh Invitational on Sept. 10-11. That is the only other event to be held at Oshkosh Country Club. On Sept. 17-18, UW-Oshkosh heads to Berlin for the Ripon College Invitational. The Titans placed third among seven squads last year as Sippl finished third individually.

The UW-Whitewater Invitational will be in Janesville from Sept. 24-25. One week later, the Titans conclude their regular season at the UW-Stevens Point Mad Dawg Invitational.

UW-Oshkosh competes at the WIAC Championship in Wisconsin Rapids from Oct. 7-9. The Titans, who placed sixth at the league meet a year ago, expect to return all seven letter winners from 2010.
