Osterman To Represent Titans In WBCA All-Star Game

ATLANTA- Kennedy Osterman will be the first Titan to participate the UW-Oshkosh women's basketball team at the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division III Senior All-Star Game in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday (March 16).

Osterman (Sr. • Pewaukee) is one of 20 seniors selected by the WBCA to participate in the all-star game this year. The all-star weekend begins Wednesday with recognition at the Final Four and All-Star Banquet. The 2024 All-Star Game is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Saturday at Capital University's Capital Performance Center. All Division III All-Stars will be recognized at halftime of the national championship game Saturday night.

Osterman was named All-WIAC for the first time of her career and was tabbed for the All-Defensive Team earlier this season. She led the conference with 2.2 steals per game, a 40.2 shooting percentage from behind the arc and an 89.0 shooting percentage from the line, which also ranks fifth in NCAA Division III. She also led the team with 11.0 points and 2.7 assists per game.

The all-stars were chosen by a committee composed of head women's basketball coaches at NCAA Division III programs, all of whom are members of the WBCA. All players were nominated by WBCA member coaches.

The 20 all-stars will be divided into two 10-member teams for the game. Nancy Fahey, former head coach at the University of Illinois and Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.), and Jerry Scheve, former head coach at Wilmington College (Ohio), will coach the teams.

Former Titan Leah Porath was selected to the 2021 all-star team, however the game was not played due to the coronavirus pandemic.
