Titans To Host Opening Rounds Of NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- For the fifth time in program history, the UW-Oshkosh women's basketball team will host the opening two rounds of the NCAA Championship on Friday and Saturday (March 1-2).

The Titans (22-5) earned a spot in the national tournament as an at-large bid after winning their 15th WIAC regular season title with a 12-2 record and finishing second in the conference tournament.

Webster University (27-0) will be UW-Oshkosh's opponent in the first round at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gorloks claimed a spot in the tournament by winning their third-straight St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship.

Gustavus Adolphus College (25-2), the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion, will face off against Trine University (21-7), the winner of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association at 5 p.m. on Friday.

On Saturday, at 7 p.m., the first round winners will play to advance to the sectional rounds of the NCAA Championship, which will be held on March 8-9.
