Titans to Host Blue Devils For Alumni Day

OSHKOSH, Wis.—Winning three of their last four games, the UW-Oshkosh Titan's women's basketball squad is slated to host the UW-Stout Blue Devils in a WIAC matchup on January 21. The Titans (12-5, 3-4 WIAC) and Blue Devils (13-5, 5-2 WIAC) are set to tipoff at 3 p.m. as the Titans host Alumni Day on Saturday.

The Titans and Blue Devils met on Dec. 3 this season as the Blue Devils posted a 66-58 victory over the Titans.

Previewing Oshkosh

The Titans have posted consecutive victories over UW-La Crosse and UW-Stevens Point to improve to 12-5 on the season. The Titans are averaging 61.9 points per game and are allowing their opponents 55.1 points per game. The Titans are shooting 41.9 percent from the field and outrebounding their opponents (32.5 to 30.9 rebounds per game). With 10.1 assists per game, the Titans add 5.8 steals per game and 2.4 blocks per game. 

Kayce Vaile, who sits in the top-10 in WIAC scoring, leads the Titans with 11.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Jenna Jorgensen, who has recorded four of the last six games in double-digit scoring, averages 9.8 points per game and is joined by Ava Douglas with 8.2 points per game. In rebounding efforts, Sarah Hardwick and Jorgensen round out the top-3 with 4.7 and 4.2 rebounds per game.   

Looking at Stout

The Blue Devils are led offensively as Raegan Sorensen (14.2), Amanda Giesen (12.5), and Anna Mutch (11.2) average in double-digit scoring. Sorensen leads the Blue Devils in rebounding efforts with 7.2 rebounds per game and is joined by Haylee Yaeger and Giesen with 5.8 and 5.6 rebounds per game.

The Blue Devils are averaging 66.5 points per game and hold their opponents to 57.9 points per game. The Blue Devils record 37.2 rebounds per game. From the field, the Blue Devils are shooting 39.2% (23.4 FG made per game). The Blue Devils are recorded 12.6 assists per game.
