Titans Set for Augustana Tournament

OSHKOSH, Wis.—Returning to action on the road, the No. 22/18 UW-Oshkosh women's basketball is set to compete at the Hyatt Place Tournament, hosted by Augustana (Ill.).

The Titans, who bring a 4-0 record into the weekend, open the tournament as they face off against DePauw University on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. The Titans will face either Dubuque or Augustana on Nov. 19. 

DePauw brings a 1-1 record to the tournament, having defeated Bethany Lutheran in the season opener and falling to Wisconsin Lutheran.

Dubuque went 2-1 in their opening week, earning wins over Marian and Eureka. The Spartans of Dubuque fell to Washington University. Tournament hosts Augustana enters the weekend with a 2-0 record, having recording wins over Simpson College and Loras College.

The Titans remained ranked in the D3hoops.com poll (No. 22) and the WBCA poll (No. 18).

Early Season Numbers

In the first four games, the Titans have averaged 72.5 points per game and 33.3 rebounds per game. 

Kayce Vaile (13.5 ppg), Jenna Jorgensen (10.8 ppg), and Allison Forney (10.3 ppg) are the leading scorers for the Titans through four games. On the boards, Sarah Hardwick averages 7.8 rebounds per game in her debut season.

Last time on the court, the Titans battled to an 81-71 victory over Edgewood College. Hardwick recorded her first collegiate double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Titans have had three athletes finish in double-figure scoring in all four games this season.
