Porath Named To Third WBCA All-America Team

UW-Oshkosh senior guard Leah Porath was named a NCAA Division III All-American from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for the third consecutive year.

Porath, who last week collected her third straight All-America decoration from D3hoops.com, was among 40 players voted to the 2022 WBCA Division III All-America Team as an Honorable Mention selection.

Porath previously earned WBCA All-America recognition as a First Team member in 2021 and Honorable Mention representative in 2020. Porath and Taylor Schmidt are the only two Titans to harvest multiple WBCA All-America awards. Schmidt acquired three straight Honorable Mention accolades from 2015-17.

Porath, the fourth all-time leading scorer in UW-Oshkosh history, was voted to this year's All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team for the third straight season after leading the Titans to the league tournament semifinals.

The Titans earned an at-large berth into the 2022 Division III Championship and defeated three nationally ranked opponents en route to reaching the quarterfinals for the first time since 1999. UW-Oshkosh outscored 18th-ranked Wisconsin Lutheran College in the first round, fourth-ranked Simpson College (Iowa) in the second and 10th-ranked Baldwin Wallace University (Ohio) in the third before falling at 12th-ranked and eventual national tournament runner-up UW-Whitewater in the Elite Eight.
