Cullen and Proteau Run At Division III Championship

NEWVILLE, Pa.- Cameron Cullen and Paul Proteau each ran at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship for the first time on Saturday (Nov. 18) at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania.

Proteau (So. • Riverside, Ill.) finished 91st, running a time of 25:38.5, while continuously moving up the entire race. Cullen (So. • Kewaunee) finished 135th, with a 25:56.0 finish.

Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.) upset UW-La Crosse for the team title, finishing with 158 points to La Crosse's 159. North Central College (Ill.) took third with 169 points, Williams College (Ma.) grabbed fourth with 212 points and Wartburg College (Iowa) finished fifth with 232 points to round out the top-five teams.

On the individual side, Ethan Gregg from UW-La Crosse led from start to finish, winning with a time of 24:02.4. Christian Patzka (UW-Whitewater) was runner up with a time of 24:20.7. Also in the top-five were Max Svienty from North Central, James Settles from Colorado College and Cory Kennedy from RPI (N.Y.).
