Titans Place Fourth In Season Debut

UW-Oshkosh owned eight of the top 24 finishers as it placed fourth in the team standings at the Midwest Open on Saturday (Sept. 10) in Somers.

UW-Parkside captured first place with 60 points, closely followed by St. Joseph’s College with 63 and UW-Milwaukee with 64. The Titans were just six points out of the top spot, while Illinois Tech. concluded the top five with its 134 points.

Nate Stymiest (Sr. • Oconto Falls) paced the UW-Oshkosh competitors with his 11th-place time of 27.25. Tyler Morey (Sr. • Combined Locks) posted a 27.26 to list 13th, along with Sean Kutz (So. • Grantsburg) in 15th at 27.27, John Dewitt (Jr. • Oshkosh) in 16th at 27.27 and Kenny Halloran (So. • Mount Prospect) in 21st at 27.39.

The Titan run continued with Erik Hofferber (So. • Neenah), Zach Adams (Jr. • Lake Geneva) and Jake Keehan (Sr. • Green Bay) in positions 22-24. Hofferber owned a time of 27:39, while Adams and Keehan both marked a 27:41.

Jake Reilly of UW-Milwaukee defeated 80 other athletes to claim the individual crown with his time of 25:55. UW-Parkside's Evan Lewandowski took second at 25:59, ahead of Logan Barret (St. Joseph’s College) in third at 26:18, Bobby Glotfelty (UW-Milwaukee) in fourth at 26:48 and Tom Hedman (UW-Parkside) in the fifth position at 27:04.
