The UW-Oshkosh men's tennis team snapped a three-match losing streak with a convincing 9-0 victory over Marian University on Friday (April 8) at the Oshkosh YMCA Tennis Center.

UW-Oshkosh improved its season record to 5-8, while Marian University fell to 0-3 and lost its 18th consecutive match.

UW-Oshkosh's Austin Laumb blanked Marian University's Brandon Ruis, 6-0, 6-0, in the sixth flight of singles play and teamed with Thang Khup to win their No. 3 doubles match by an 8-1 score over Zac Brandrup and Ruis.

UW-Oshkosh's Adam Hawley and Adam Martin scored an 8-3 victory over Danny Roe and Patrick Schwoerer in the first flight of doubles, while David Leffler and Logan Zastrow defeated Spencer Braswell and Joey Dittman, 8-4, in the second flight.

At No. 1 singles, UW-Oshkosh's Vincent Gorski downed Dittman, 6-1, 6-1.

The Titans also received convincing singles wins from Ryan Kuzmanovic in the second flight, Hawley in the third flight and William O'Connell in the fifth flight.

Kuzmanovic dispatched Schwoerer, 6-2, 6-0, while Hawley trounced Roe by a 6-0, 6-1 score and O'Connell secured a 6-0, 6-4 decision over Brandrup.

In the fifth flight of singles, UW-Oshkosh's Jordan Andersen outlasted Braswell, 6-4, 5-7 (10-4).

UW-Oshkosh faces Milwaukee School of Engineering on April 16 at the Kolf Sports oudoor courts.
