Titans Capture Win Over Vikings

Ryan Kuzmanovic and Logan Zastrow were involved in two victories apiece as the UW-Oshkosh men's tennis team defeated Lawrence University, 6-3, on Saturday (March 5) at the Oshkosh YMCA Tennis Center.

Kuzmanovic recorded a 6-2, 6-0 win over Adam Busch at No. 4 singles and teamed with Vincent Gorski to post an 8-4 triumph over David Booker and Bill Schuman-Kline at No. 1 doubles.

Zastrow won a 6-2, 6-0 decision over Ethan Perushek at No. 5 singles and partnered with Jordan Andersen to take an 8-0 result over Adam Busch and Mitchell Kaspryzk at No. 3 doubles.

UW-Oshkosh (3-5), which registered its 13th straight win over Lawrence University, also received individual wins from Adam Martin in the third flight and David Leffler in the sixth. Martin defeated Schuman-Kline, 6-4, 6-0, while Leffler ousted Izaya Turenne, 6-3, 6-3.

David Jumes at No. 1 singles and Brian DeCorte at No. 2 were both victorious for the Vikings (4-2). Jumes took a 6-3, 6-1 decision from Gorski, while DeCorte grabbed a 6-4, 6-3 verdict from Adam Hawley.

Jumes and DeCorte also defeated the Titans' Hawley and Martin by an 8-4 score at No. 2 doubles.

UW-Oshkosh goes for its fourth straight victory when it hosts Edgewood College on Sunday (March 6) at the Oshkosh YMCA Tennis Center.
