Relay Squad Sets Program Records At Carthage College Classic

CARTAHAGE, Wis.- CJ Willert, Damen Seremet, Leo Ramirez-Gutierrez and Drew Davis set both the 200- and 400-yard medley relay program records at the Carthage College Classic this weekend (Nov. 30-Dec. 2).

As a team, UW-Oshkosh finished fourth with 1,009.5 points. Carthage College won the eight-team meet with 2,149.5 points. St. Norbert College took second with 1,411 points and Lake Forest College (Ill.) grabbed third with 1,215 points.

Willert (So. • Eau Claire), Seremet (So. • Beaver Dam), Ramirez-Gutierrez (Fr. • Schaumburg, Ill.) and Davis (Jr. • Bakersfield, Calif.) took fourth in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:37.43 and fifth in the 400-yard medley relay in 3:34.94.

Seremet was also involved in three top-three finishes for Oshkosh. Along with Ramirez-Gutierrez, Alex Ward (Fr. • Yorkville, Ill.) and Davis, the 400-yard freestyle relay squad took third with a 3:13.24 finish. Individually, Seremet took third in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyles in 21.70 and 58.73, respectively.

The Titans return to the pool on Saturday, January 6 in Appleton to face Lawrence University at 11:30 a.m.
