Titans Fall To Warhawks At Home
OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh men's swimming & diving team fell 227-68 to UW-Whitewater Saturday afternoon (Nov. 4) at Albee Hall.
The Titans (1-2, 0-2 WIAC) recorded six second and third-place finishes in the loss to the Warhawks (2-0, 1-0 WIAC).
Luke Giles (Fr. • Oswego, Ill.) led the team with three top-three finishes. He took second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:05.82) and third in both the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:41.83) and 200-yard IM (2:07.52).
Also collecting individual second place finishes were Damen Seremet (So. • Beaver Dam) in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:02.08, Leo Ramirez-Gutierrez (Fr. • Schaumburg, Ill.) in the 50-yard freestyle in 23.19 and Alex Ward (Fr. • Yorkville, Ill.) with a 2:21.21 time in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Gutierrez-Ramirez, Seremet, Ward and Ben Knoeck (Jr. • Cottage Grove) took second in the 200-yard relay with a time of 1:30.73.
The Titans will head to Lawrence University next Saturday (Nov. 11) for the Gene Davis Invitational.
