Willert Sets New School Record
BROWN DEER, Wis.—CJ Willert reset a school record as the UW-Oshkosh Titans men's swimming and diving team concluded action at the 2023 WIAC Swimming and Diving Championships.
Drew Davis was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
In the 200 backstroke, Willert clocked in at 1:58.25 and broke the 2019 record. Willert claimed a top-10 spot with the time and now owns the 100 and 200 backstroke records.
In the 400 freestyle relay, Damen Seremet, Chase Millam, Willert, and Davis clocked in at 3:15.06.
Joey Jurva finished in a tie for ninth in the 3-meter diving, recording a score of 353.15.
Seremet clocked in at 48.13 in the 100 freestyle, finishing in the top-15.
Cade Millam competed in the 200 breaststroke for the Titans, clocking in at 2:29.15.
Ethan DeGroot competed in the 1650 freestyle, timing in at 19:12.63.
Hayden Freeman clocked in at 2:21.65 in the 200 butterfly.
