Oshkosh Defeats Beloit in Final Home Dual

OSHKOSH, Wis.—The UW-Oshkosh Titans men's swimming and diving squad defeated Beloit College this evening, 125-62 in the final home meet of the year.

Ben Knoeck and Ethan Almstadt went 1-2 in the 200 freestyle, recording times of 1:53.55 and 1:55.26.

Damen Seremet led all athletes in the 50 freestyle, recording a time of 22.82.

Seremet led a trio of Titans in the 100 freestyle, timing in at 50.74.  Chase Millam swam a 52.12 as Drew Davis rounded the Titans out with a time of 52.83.

CJ Willert competed in the 200 IM for the Titans, clocking in at 2:11.56. Willert clocked in at 57.99 in the 100 backstroke for the Titans.

In the 1000 freestyle, Ethan DeGroot swam a season best time of 12:09.06 for the Titans.

Ben Knoeck led the Titans in the 500 freestyle, clocking in at 5:22.67 and set a new season best time for any racer in the event. Cade Millam and DeGroot recorded time of 5:43.54 and 5:50.66 in the event.

Andrew Copeland led all swimmers in the 100 butterfly, recording a time of 59.08. Hayden Freeman competed in the event for the Titans and nearly broke his season best time, clocking in at 1:00.21.

In the 100 breaststroke, Almstadt clocked in a 1:07.92 for a runners-up finish.

Joey Jurva led all competitors in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving action, recording a season best score of 199.80 on 1-meter. On the 3-meter board, Jurva recorded a season best score of 221.17.

Willert, Copeland, Freeman, and Knoeck combined for a time of 1:45.95 in the 200 medley relay, taking second in the event. Seremet, Almstadt, Chase Millam, and Davis clocked in at 1:32.58 in the 200 freestyle relay, taking first place in the event.

The Titans continue action this weekend, competing at UW-La Crosse on January 21. Action is set to get started at 1 p.m.
