Willert Breaks School Record

KENOSHA, Wis.—CJ Willert broke the school record in the 100 backstroke as the UW-Oshkosh Titans competed on day one of the Carthage Classic. 

The previous record for 100 backstroke was set in 1997. Willert's time of 53.45 was the first leg in the 400 medley relay.

In the 200 freestyle relay, Damen Seremet, Drew Davis, Ben Knoeck, and Cade Millam finished inside the top-10 at 1:30.54. Willert, Seremet, Hayden Freeman, and Knoeck finished inside the top-10 in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:44.27.

Willert competed in the 200 IM for the Titans, grabbing a top-10 finish at 2:04.22. Millam clocked in at 2:16.09.

Seremet led the way in the 50 freestyle at 21.65 as Drew Davis grabbed a top-8 finish at 22.25. Seremet's time nearly broke the school record, set in 1985. 

Action resumes at 10 a.m. on Dec. 3 in Kenosha for the Titans.
