Seremet Grabs Top-3 Finishes In Season Opener

OSHKOSH, Wis.—Damen Seremet grabbed two top-3 finishes for the Titans as the UW-Oshkosh Titans men's swimming and diving squad fell in opening action against the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds, 193-38.

Seremet took runner-up honors in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.83. Seremet finished in the top-3 in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in at 50.69.

CJ Willert claimed a top-3 finish in the 100-yard backstroke at 56.81.

Ethan Almstadt and Ben Knoeck grabbed top-8 finishes in the 100-yard freestyle, at 52.34 and 53.09.  Almstadt and Knoeck went 4-5 in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking in at 1:56.12 and 1:56.75.

Grabbing top-8 times in the 200 IM, Willert and Cade Millam swam times of 2:14.82 and 2:21.78 respectively.

Millam and Trey Pecore finished inside the top-8 in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:09.83 and 1:13.45.

Andrew Copeland finished inside the top-8 for the Titans in the 100-yard butterfly at 59.67.

In the 1-meter diving, Joey Jurva led the Titans with a dive score of 142.79. Pecore competed for the Titans with a score of 103.58.

Ethan DeGroot was the lone Titan to compete in the men's 1000-yard freestyle, timing in at 12:30.21. DeGroot continued action for the Titans in the distance races, timing in at 5:58.68 in the 500-yard freestyle.

Willert, Millam, Copeland, and Knoeck teamed up for a top-5 finish in the 200-medley relay at 1:46.16. Almstadt, Drew Davis, DeGroot, and Seremet finished fourth in the 200-freestyle relay, clocking in at 1:35.71.

The Titans return to action on Oct. 22 at the Wisconsin College Showcase in Brown Deer, Wisconsin.
