Eagles Produce Win Over Titans
Alex Jernberg won three events and swam on a second-place relay during UW-Oshkosh's 154-61 men's swimming & diving loss to UW-La Crosse Saturday (Jan. 22) in Albee Hall.
Jernberg registered winning freestyle times of 5:06.34 at 500 and 17:27.22 at 1,650 yards while capturing first place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a performance of 1:02.85.
Jernberg also helped Drew Davis, Ben Knoeck and Chase Millam to a second-place time of 3:24.12 in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Chase Millam added a second-place time of 50.86 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle and third-place swims of 23.63 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and 1:04.98 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Chase Millam also joined Davis, Knoeck and Cade Millam for a second-place time of 1:49.66 in the 200-yard medley relay.
Davis furthermore finished third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.47 and fourth in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyles with performances of 23.84 and 52.66 seconds, respectively.
The Titans also collected a second-place time of 2:35.17 in the 200-yard breaststroke from Cade Milllam and a third-place effort of 52.22 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle from Knoeck.
UW-La Crosse won 11 individual events and a pair of relays during the meet.
UW-Oshkosh is off until it hosts Ripon College on Feb. 5 in Albee Hall.
