Titans Have Eight Top 12 Mentions At Carthage College Classic
Conner Clark and Alex Jernberg both recorded eighth-place finishes to lead UW-Oshkosh at the Carthage College Men's Swimming & Diving Classic held Thursday through Saturday (Dec. 2-4) in Kenosha.
Clark finished eighth in the 200- and 11th in the 100-yard butterfly events with times of 2:00.16 and 53.46 seconds, respectively.
Clark also swam with Jernberg, Drew Davis and Chase Millam for a ninth-place time of 7:29.70 in the 800- and Copeland, Davis and Chase Millam for a 12th-place time of 1:30.99 in the 200-yard freestyle relays.
Jernberg placed eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.22 and 12th in the 500-yard freestyle at 4:55.41.
Jernberg also helped Copeland, Davis and Cade Millam finish 11th in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:45.17 and Copeland, Davis and Chase Millam place 11th in the 400-yard freestyle relay at 3:21.99.
UW-Oshkosh finished ninth in the team competition with 508.5 points.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Ind.) won the 10-team meet with 2,632 points. The Engineers were followed by second-place Carthage College with 2,099 points, third-place Lake Forest College (Ill.) with 1,542, fourth-place St. Norbert College with 1,439.5 and fifth-place Kalamazoo College (Mich.) with 1,374.5.
UW-Oshkosh is off until it competes in a dual meet at Beloit College on Jan. 7.
