Green Knights Mark Down A Win Over The Titans

Alex Jernberg won two events and finished second in another during UW-Oshkosh's 147-48 loss to the St. Norbert College men's swimming & diving team Saturday (Nov. 20) in De Pere.

Jernberg captured his first-place listings with freestyle times of 5:01.97 at 500 yards and 10:51.02 at 1,000. He also finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a swim of 1:02.99.

St. Norbert College coasted to the victory by winning nine of the dual meet's 11 events.

Titan Drew Davis finished second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.57 seconds while helping teammates Conner Clark, Andrew Copeland and Chase Millam to a runner-up performance of 1:32.77 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

UW-Oshkosh acquired four third-place mentions with the times of 2:14.44 in the 200-yard individual medley from Clark, 1:56.64 in the 200-yard freestyle from Millam, 1:06.76 in the 100-yard backstroke from Matt Holst and 55.30 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle from Ben Knoeck.

Finishing fourth for the Titans were Clark in the 100-yard butterfly and Copeland in the 50-yard freestyle. Clark had a time of 56.73 seconds while Copeland had a swim of 23.40 seconds.

UW-Oshkosh is off until it competes at the three-day Carthage College Classic on Dec. 2-4 in Kenosha.
