WIAC Names Wilke Diver Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh's Matt Wilke was chosen as the WIAC Men's Diving Athlete of the Week for the fifth time this season and 11th time overall.

Wilke picked up his latest award by finishing sixth in both diving categories at the University of Illinois at Chicago Diving Invitational held Feb. 2. He totaled 247.10 points off the 1-meter board and 262.95 points off the 3-meter plank.

Andrew Lewarchick of the University of Illinois at Chicago defeated nine other challengers in both diving events. He had winning scores of 320.60 in the 1-meter section and 320.65 in the 3-meter division.

UW-Stevens Point's William Buhler was selected as the WIAC's Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week.

Wilke and Buhler earned their awards for events held Jan. 28 – Feb. 3.
