Wilke Named WIAC Diver Of The Week
The WIAC chose UW-Oshkosh's Matt Wilke as its Men's Diving Athlete of the Week for events held Oct. 15-21.
Wilke finished second in both the 1- and 3-meter diving categories at the Wisconsin College Showcase held Oct. 20 in Brown Deer.
Wilke totaled 294.40 points off the 1-meter board and 287.85 off the 3-meter plank. His score in the 1-meter diving qualified him for the NCAA Division III Region 1 Championship in March.
Dakota Skenadore of NCAA Division I UW-Milwaukee won the 1-meter diving with 300.50 points and the 3-meter diving with 299.80.
The 1-meter diving featured 12 contestants and the 3-meter diving 11.
No team scores were kept at the meet.
UW-Eau Claire's Nicholas Meints was selected as the WIAC's Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week.
