Bryan Solomon placed first in one event and second in another during UW-Oshkosh's 122-77 loss to the Carroll University men's swimming & diving team on Saturday (Oct. 29) in Albee Hall.

Solomon won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.06 seconds while finishing second in the 200-yard freestyle with a swim of 1:59.50.

Solomon also was a member of the Titans' 400-yard medley relay that placed second with a time of 3:56.20. Other members of the squad were Mitchell Bricco, Jacob Casper and Brandon Davison.

UW-Oshkosh received additional first-place finishes from Casper in the 100-yard breaststroke and its 200-yard freestyle relay team. Casper recorded a time of 1:06.99 while the quartet of Ross Armitage, Michael Gerondale, Ian Sewell and Dylan Sobolewski concluded their swims in 1:39.06.

Bricco took second place in a pair of events, the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.68 seconds, and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:11.65.

The Titans' Grady Hilgendorf finished second in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 19:15.26.

Carroll University had three multiple individual event winners, including Brody Beyer won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.25 seconds and the 100-yard backstroke in 57.29 seconds.

James Kelly won the 100- and the 200-yard freestyles in 49.67 seconds and 1:53.68, respectively, while Shane Murphy-Pociask won the 500- and 1,650-yard freestyles in 5:25.63 and 18:35.81, respectively.

UW-Oshkosh is off until it hosts UW-Whitewater on Nov. 12 in Albee Hall.
