Anderson Receives WIAC Swimmer Of The Week Award

The WIAC has named UW-Oshkosh's Dalton Anderson (So. • Elkhorn) as its Men's Swimmer of the Week for meets held Jan. 10-16.

Anderson earned the award after winning two events in UW-Oshkosh's 174-65 loss to UW-La Crosse on Jan. 15. He won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 52.79 seconds and the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:46.87.

Andrew Rasmussen of UW-La Crosse placed second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.02 seconds, while Justin Dembski of UW-La Crosse finished second in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:48.23.

Anderson also swam on UW-Oshkosh's 200-yard freestyle relay team that registered a time of 1:35.51. Other members of the relay squad were Eddie Dominguez (So. • Greendale), Matt Engelhardt (So. • DeForest) and John Potter (Sr. • McFarland).

Andrew Janny of UW-La Crosse was selected as the WIAC's Men's Diver of the Week.
