Simon Named WIAC Men's Soccer Player Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh midfielder Javier Simon was selected as the WIAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches held Oct. 27 - Nov. 2.

Simon scored the match-tying goal during UW-Oshkosh's 1-1, double-overtime tie with UW-Whitewater on Nov. 2.

Simon created the game's eventual score with his kick during the 49th minute (48:25) of play. The goal was his team-leading eighth of the season.

The tie allowed UW-Oshkosh to become the top seed for the WIAC Championship.

Defender Kody Mjelde of UW-Whitewater was recognized as the WIAC men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
