Titans Blank Green Knights

Five different players scored as the UW-Oshkosh men's soccer team posted a 5-0 victory over St. Norbert College on Wednesday (Sept. 30) at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

The match was the 27th meeting between the two schools, with the Titans holding a 21-5-1 lead in the series.

The Titans started the scoring at the 40:52 mark, when Musa Sowe scored his second goal of the year, unassisted, from 20 yards straight of the goal.

After the break, the Titans opened up the game beginning at the 52:19 mark, as Tim Stadler took passes from Mike Franzen and Will Howell to make the score 2-0.

UW-Oshkosh added another goal, this time at the 60:49 mark, when Brandon Briones and Mike Franzen would assist Paul Beach's third goal of the year to make the score 3-0 in favor of the Titans.

At the 66:39 mark, Robby Giljohann scored off of passes from Jack Borski and Will Chaney to expand their lead to 4-0.

The last goal for the Titans came at the 80:53 mark, when Devon Prideaux knocked in Garrett O'Brien's corner kick to make the final score 5-0.

UW-Oshkosh (8-1-1) was led offensively by Paul Beach with four shots and Andy Kohel, Robby Giljohann, Greg Jones and Musa Sowe all with two shots apiece. The Titans outshot the Green Knights 17 to 6.

Goalkeeper James Pike, who played 74 minutes, had one of the two saves for the Titans.
