Titans to Continue WIAC Play in Eau Claire

OSHKOSH, Wis.- The nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh men's basketball team will be returning to conference play on Jan. 4 at 7:00 p.m. in Eau Claire after hosting the BSN Winter Classic at the Oshkosh Arena on Dec 29-30.

Previewing the Titans

Oshkosh has a 9-4 (2-0 WIAC) record heading into Wednesday. They have won two of their last three games; a 68-50 road win over St. Norbert College (Wis.) on Dec. 20 and a 64-52 neutral site win over Ohio Wesleyan University on Dec. 29. The Titans allow the second-least points per game in the league at 60.6. Cole Booth has missed three free throws all season, owning a 90.3 shooting percentage from the line. Eric Peterson has recorded 21 steals, good for second in the league. Levi Borchert leads the Titans with 196 points, shooting 53.2 percent from the field, 22.2 percent from three and 59.5 percent from the line. He also leads in rebounds, recording 138 (54 offensive).

Previewing the Blugolds

Eau Claire currently owns a 9-4 (1-1 WIAC) record. They have won all five home games this season. The Blugolds have won their last two games, facing Marian University (Wis.) (76-41) and Ohio Wesleyan (58-50) at the Winter Classic. Eau Claire leads the league, only allowing 60.5 points per game. They average a league-high 9.0 three pointers per game and rank second in blocked shots (3.77). Brock Voigt has scored 213 points, averaging 16.4 points per game, good four fourth in the conference. He leads the league with 28 blocks and ranks second with 95 total rebounds (37 offensive) and 7.3 per game. David Ijadimbola sits fourth with a 45.2 shooting percentage from three and Michael Casper leads with 3.1 per game.
