UW-Oshkosh made five of its first seven shots from the field, while Carthage College began the game 2 of 10 from the floor. The Red Men also committed seven turnovers during the opening 10 minutes.

Consecutive 3-pointers by Noone capped a string of nine unanswered points that gave the Titans a 20-5 lead midway through the first half. A layup by Sean Valentine trimmed the Carthage College deficit to 25-15 with 7:11 to go in the opening period, but the Titans responded with eight straight points for a 33-15 lead on back-to-back 3-pointers by Sean Dwyer and Noone.

A layup at the buzzer by Valentine pulled Carthage College to within 37-24 at halftime.

Valentine hit a jump shot to begin the second stanza, but the Titans rattled off six straight points to push their advantage to 43-26 with 18:18 remaining.

The Red Men were held scoreless for a nearly four-minute stretch until Valentine ended the drought with a pair of free throws that made the score 43-28 with 16 minutes left.

UW-Oshkosh matched its largest lead of 18 points on two occasions late in the second half. The second of two free throws by Taylor Jansen gave the Titans a 63-45 advantage with 1:54 to go, and a layup by Schebel pushed the lead back to 65-47 at the 1:28 mark.
