Drew Sperry is a seasoned football coach and dedicated educator, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the UW-Oshkosh football program. With a strong background in coaching linebackers and safeties, Sperry has been an integral part of the program's success since joining the staff in 2011.

Career Highlights:

  • 2011 - 2016: Sperry began his coaching journey at UW-Oshkosh as an assistant linebacker coach. During this time, he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the game, helping to shape the linebackers into a formidable defensive force.
  • 2017: Sperry took on a new challenge, transitioning to coaching safeties. His adaptability and commitment to player development were evident as he seamlessly transitioned to coaching a different position group.
  • 2020: In pursuit of further coaching opportunities, Sperry briefly left the program to become the Defensive Coordinator at Evansville High School, his hometown. This experience allowed him to bring fresh perspectives and strategies back to UW-Oshkosh.
  • 2021 - Present: Sperry returned to UW-Oshkosh in 2021, rejoining the program as the safeties coach. His return has added depth to the coaching staff, and his expertise in defensive strategies has been invaluable in helping the team reach new heights.

Off the Field: Beyond the football field, Sperry is equally passionate about education. He is a dedicated teacher at Carl Traeger Middle School in Oshkosh, where he shares his knowledge and inspires young minds.

Family: Sperry comes from a close-knit family. His parents, Todd and Jane Sperry, have been a source of unwavering support throughout his coaching journey. He also has a sister, Devon, who resides in Arizona with her husband Derek.

Sperry's commitment to excellence, both on and off the field, makes him an invaluable asset to the UW-Oshkosh football program.
