OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh football team took the first lead and never looked back as they beat UW-Eau Claire 35-7 on Saturday (Oct. 14) at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

The Titans (4-2, 2-1 WIAC) earned their fourth straight win against the Blugolds (2-4, 1-2 WIAC) and their ninth win in the last ten meetings.

The Titan offense scored fast and often, taking no more than five plays to score on four out of their five touchdown drives.

"It was me trying to get our playmakers the ball," Kobe Berghammer (Sr. • Clayton) said. "Once those guys get the ball, they make dudes miss and make big plays."

Berghammer led the Titan offense with four touchdown passes and one rushing touchdown. He also completed 25-of-36 passes for 381 yards and added 45 yards on the ground.

Trae Tetzlaff (Jr. • Waukesha) recorded five receptions for 112 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown reception.

Berghammer threw his final passing touchdown on the day with a 6-yard shovel pass to Clayton Schwalbe (So. • Waukesha) in the third quarter. The Blugolds blocked the extra point attempt, but Quentin Keene (So. • Waunakee) was able to pick it up for the Titans and return it for a successful two-point conversion.

Eau Claire scored its lone touchdown of the day in the fourth quarter. Harry Roubidoux found Hayden Goodman for a 2-yard touchdown pass, bringing the score to 28-7.
