Spectrum Sports To Televise Titans' Football Playoff Game

UW-Oshkosh's NCAA Division III Football Championship quarterfinal contest against Wartburg College (Iowa) on Saturday (Dec. 2) will be televised live on Spectrum Sports in Wisconsin. Live coverage begins at noon from UW-Oshkosh's J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium. Kickoff is set for 12:05 p.m.

Bob Brainerd will handle the play-by-play and Greg Voeller will serve as analyst.

Fans can view the game on Channel 32 and in HD on Channel 1332 in Eastern Wisconsin.

UW-Oshkosh (11-0) enters the contest ranked third in the country by D3football.com while Wartburg College (12-0) lists 17th.

The Titans, who reached last year's Division III championship game, is back in the quarterfinals for the third straight season and the fourth time in four NCAA postseason appearances. UW-Oshkosh advanced to the semifinal round in 2012 and to the quarterfinals in 2015.

Wartburg College is seeking to advance to the semifinals for the first time in its 12 Division III Championship appearances. The Knights previously reached the quarterfinal round in 1994, 2008 and 2014.

UW-Oshkosh advanced to the quarterfinals of this year's 32-team tournament with home wins of 63-0 over Lakeland University (8-3) on Nov. 18 and 42-21 over ninth-ranked North Central College (Ill.) (11-2) last Saturday (Nov. 25).

The Knights began this season's NCAA tournament with home victories of 35-34 in overtime over Franklin College (Ind.) on Nov. 18 and 49-7 over 25th-ranked Trine University (Ind.) last Saturday.

UW-Oshkosh boasts an 11-3 record in NCAA postseason play. The Titans' .786 winning percentage during the national tournament is third-best in Division III. The Knights sport a 10-11 record in the NCAA postseason.

UW-Oshkosh has won 14 consecutive home games by a combined 579-200 score while Wartburg College has been victorious in its last five road contests.

Wartburg College won both of its two previous meetings with UW-Oshkosh, defeating the Titans by scores of 31-10 on Sept. 1, 2001, in Waverly, Iowa, and 24-20 on Sept. 7, 2002, in Oshkosh.

Titan TV will also televise the game to Spectrum Cable subscribers in the Oshkosh area on Channel 57 and in high definition on the UW-Oshkosh campus on Channel 71.1. Titan TV's telecast can also be viewed on the Internet.
