Grimm Collects Second Straight WIAC Baseball Weekly Award

UW-Oshkosh catcher Taylor Grimm was named WIAC Baseball Position Player of the Week for the second time in as many weeks. Grimm earned his latest award for games played March 12-18.

Grimm hit a team-leading .556 (5-9) with two doubles, one home run and eight runs batted in as UW-Oshkosh began its seven-game trip to Auburndale, Fla., with three straight wins.  

Grimm also scored five runs during the three games while recording a slugging percentage of 1.111 and an on-base percentage of .538.

Grimm hit safely in all three contests, including a 3-for-3 performance with five runs batted in and three runs scored during the Titans' seven-inning 15-1 victory over Lawrence University on March 18. He hit a two-run home run in the first inning against the Vikings and a two-run double in the fifth.

Grimm also went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and a double in UW-Oshkosh's 7-1 victory over Ripon College on March 16.

UW-La Crosse's Mason McMahon was chosen as the WIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week.
