UW-Oshkosh Teams To Don Under Armour Apparel

UW-Oshkosh Assistant Chancellor, Director of Athletics Darryl Sims announced Thursday (Oct. 12) that the school’s 19-sport athletics program has entered a five-year partnership with Kollege Town Sports to make Under Armour the official outfitter of the Titans.

“This is an exciting opportunity for UW-Oshkosh Athletics, and we are especially happy to partner with Kollege Town Sports,” Sims said. “Under Armour has a phenomenal reputation of providing an excellent product to college and professional teams, and this is a major step in creating a consistent, attractive brand for our student-athletes, coaches, department staff and fans. This partnership also allows us an opportunity to enhance our overall student-athlete experience, both in training and in competition.”

As part of the agreement, Under Armour will exclusively design and supply the footwear, apparel and accessories for training and gameday uniforms to nine UW-Oshkosh teams by the beginning of the 2018-19 academic year. The remaining 10 teams will be converted by the start of the 2020-21 academic year.

“All of us at Kollege Town Sports are looking forward to working with each and every team at UW-Oshkosh,” Kollege Town Sports President Tom Handlen said. “We have been working with some of the programs at UW-Oshkosh for years, and now we have an opportunity to build the Titan brand even stronger.”

UW-Oshkosh Athletics continues to be a part of a growing Under Armour roster of NCAA partners that includes Auburn University, Boston University, Northwestern University, Texas Tech University, UCLA, University of California, University of Cincinnati, University of Maryland, University of Notre Dame, University of South Carolina, University of Utah, and University of Wisconsin.

About Under Armour:

Founded in 1996 by former University of Maryland football player Kevin Plank, Under Armour is the originator of performance apparel - gear engineered to keep athletes cool, dry and light throughout the course of a game, practice or workout. The technology behind Under Armour's diverse product assortment for men, women and youth is complex, but the program for reaping the benefits is simple: wear HeatGear® when it's hot, ColdGear® when it's cold, and AllSeasonGear® between the extremes. Under Armour's mission is to make all athletes better through passion, design and the relentless pursuit of innovation.

About Kollege Town Sports:

With over 25 years of experience in the sports apparel business, Tom Handlen founded Impact Sports in 1990. What started out as a fundraising and promotional company developed into a successful sports apparel business. After selling Impact Sports to Lids Team Sports, Handlen served as President for two years before moving on to new endeavors. Handlen joined one of his former Impact Sports partners, Marv Siegert, owner of Madison All 4 You. Madison All 4 You specialized in corporate sales and embroidery, tackle-twilling and laser etching. Together, they formed Kollege Town Sports (KTS) in 2011, continuing the corporate sales and embroidery, but also adding custom screen-printing and a team sales division. The focus of both businesses has been to provide top quality uniforms and apparel to corporate, collegiate, high school and youth organizations. With that focus in mind, Under Armour was added as a premier brand in the KTS arsenal in 2012. To continue the growth and mission of KTS, KTS was acquired by Riddell in October of 2015. Housed in a 110,000 square foot facility located in Windsor, Wis., KTS has a production team that excels in custom screen printing, embroidery, tackle twill, laser etching and signage.
