Basketball Alumni Day Set For Saturday

Fans can cheer on Titans of the past and present when UW-Oshkosh holds its annual “Basketball Alumni Day” on Saturday (Jan. 26) in Kolf Sports Center.

Festivities begin with the women’s alumni game at 11 a.m. Among the former Titans taking part in the contest are Michelle Boeder, Shelby Churchill, Sarah Heckmann, Kelly McNiff, Holly Spoo, Whitney Tyriver, Stephanie Warnke and Amy Wing.

The men’s alumni contest is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. The list of participants includes Jim Capelle, Brett Davis, Kerry Gibson, Andy Jahnke, Matt Miller, Greg Schrimpf, Scott Sowinski and Pete Warning.

Spectators are invited to stay for UW-Oshkosh’s collegiate doubleheader against UW- La Crosse. The men play at 4 p.m. and the women at 6 p.m.

Saturday will feature fundraising activities for the “Titans Take Down Cancer” campaign. Fans can purchase pink wristbands at the door for $1, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Ticket prices for the entire day are $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens and $4 for students (K-12). UW-Oshkosh students are admitted free with their ID card.
