Three Titans Named WIAC x Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week

MADISON, Wis.- Quinn Steckbauer (men's basketball), Reanna McGibboney (gymnastics) and Brianna Smith (women's swimming) were all named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) x Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for events between Jan. 9-15 on Wednesday morning.

Steckbauer averaged 21.5 points, shooting 63.6 percent from the field, 75.0 percent from three and 100 percent from the line in wins against UW-Whitewater (Jan. 11) and nationally ranked UW-La Crosse (Jan. 14). He set career-bests in points (30), three-pointers made (five) and free throws made (nine) at La Crosse in a 73-73 second half comeback win over the Eagles after trailing by as much as 15. Adding to the career game, he tied his best field goal performance, making eight shots.

McGibboney was the top Division III finisher in the vault at the Rutgers University (N.J.) January Meet. She earned a 9.825 score, tying for third place. It was the highest finish for the Titans at the meet. She also scored a 9.550 on the floor exercise.

Smith never finished below second in meets against UW-Stevens Point and Carthage College (Wis.). She took first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:06.35) and 500-yard freestyle (5:39.99) against Stevens Point and in the 200-yard medley relay (1:45.08) against Carthage College. In the 200-yard medley relay against Stevens Point, she was a member of the team that finished in a season-best time of 1:57.42, taking second place.
