Lauren Wrensch, WIAC Student-Athlete Spotlight

Each week during the 2018-19 academic year, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its eight institutions for a "Student-Athlete Spotlight" Q & A segment. The segments, presented by Culver's, will be also posted every Thursday on the WIAC website.

Why did you choose to attend UW-Oshkosh?
I chose UW-Oshkosh firstly for its gymnastics program as that was my original intent coming into college. I also chose this university because a friend I had on the track & field team told me of the incredible team atmosphere and the supportive coaches who focus on the academic success of their athletes in addition to their athletic success.

What do you like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference?
The atmosphere is amazing. There is such a sense of sportsmanship throughout the conference, and I have so much respect for all of my competitors. Being the best conference in Division III, the WIAC pushes me with some the best competition in the nation, and it's been a pleasure being a part of that.
