Titans Post Perfect Score In Winning Gene Davis Invitational
The UW-Oshkosh women's cross country team recorded a perfect score of 15 points in winning the Lawrence University Gene Davis Invitational held Saturday (Oct. 12) at the Reid Memorial Golf Course in Appleton.
UW-Oshkosh swept the second through sixth-place individual finishes as former Titan Cheyenne Moore, running unattached, won the race of 100 competitors with her time of 22:38.
Ashton Keene led UW-Oshkosh for the third time this season with her second-place run of 23:31. Keene was followed in the 6,000-meter race by third-place Alexandria Demco at 23:45, fourth-place Hannah Lohrenz at 23:49, fifth-place Amanda Van Den Plas at 23:51 and sixth-place Elizabeth Reddeman at 23:53.
The Titans also had Meygan Benzing finish ninth with a time of 24:41, Libby Geisness 10th in 24:42, Breanna Van Den Plas 18th in 25:17, Tayah Cunningham 19th in 25:18, Lauren Urban 21st in 25:23, Melissa Srnka 32nd in 25:54, Tricia Cich 38th in 26:22 and Megan Berg 47th in 26:52.
Listing second behind UW-Oshkosh in the team standings was St. Norbert College with 68 points.
Rounding out the top five squads in the eight-team field were Ripon College with 103 points, fourth-place UW-Stevens Point with 109 and fifth-place Wisconsin Lutheran College with 114.
UW-Oshkosh will host the Kollege Town Sports Invitational next Saturday (Oct. 19) at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne.
