Tesky Earns Fifth WIAC Weekly Diving Award Of Season

The WIAC chose UW-Oshkosh's Danielle Tesky as its Kwik Trip Women's Diving Athlete of the Week for meets held Jan. 27 - Feb. 2. It is Tesky's fifth WIAC weekly award this season, following her selections for the periods of Oct. 14 - 20, Nov. 4 - 10, Nov. 11 - 20 and Dec. 16 - Jan. 5.

Tesky won both diving events to help UW-Oshkosh earn a 180-31 home victory over Beloit College on Jan. 31. She posted winning scores of 205.12 off the 1-meter board and 202.80 off the 3-meter plank.

While UW-Oshkosh's swimmers were competing in a dual meet at Ripon College on Feb. 1, Tesky was performing at the University of Illinois at Chicago Diving Invitational.

Tesky finished 18th in the 3- and 22nd in the 1-meter categories with scores of 186.10 and 147.10, respectively.

Taylor Shegos from NCAA Division I University of Illinois won the 3-meter event with a score of 292.85 while Cydney Liebenberg from NCAA Division I University of Illinois at Chicago captured the 1-meter title with a score of 312.95.

Nearly two dozen NCAA Division I and III divers comprised the meet's field of competitors.

UW-La Crosse's Madalyn Peterson was named the WIAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week.
