Marowsky Sets Third School Record Of Season In Loss To Pointers

Freshman Mariah Marowsky established her third UW-Oshkosh record of the 2019-20 season during the Titans' 147-92 loss to the UW-Stevens Point women's swimming & diving team on Friday (Jan. 3) in Albee Hall.

Marowsky, who previously set school marks in the 200- and 1,000-yard freestyles, won Friday's 500-yard freestyle swim with a time of 5:14.44. Her performance broke Britney Hilgendorf's record of 5:15.26 created on Feb. 20, 2014.

Marowsky also won the 200-yard freestyle on Friday with a time of 1:57.22 while joining Rebecca Birriel, Sydney Challoner and Rachel Jaworski for a first-place swim of 1:45.06 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Challoner was a winner in two individual events as well. She won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.06 and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:20.61.

Titan Danielle Tesky won the 3-meter diving with a score of 199.05 while finishing second in the 1-meter diving with a figure of 215.60.

UW-Oshkosh had two other second-place results as Jaworski and Jennifer Lutz recorded times of 58.55 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle and 1:04.15 in the 100-yard butterfly, respectively. Lutz also placed third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:06.19.

Birriel contributed a pair of third-place finishes by recording times of 1:15.45 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 2:23.99 in the 200-yard individual medley.

UW-Oshkosh's three fourth-place finishes included a pair by Allison Wucak. She earned those listings with scores of 178.25 in the 1- and 166.30 in the 3-meter diving.

Titan Lexi Gray added a fourth-place time of 12:24.68 in the 1,000-yard freestyle.

UW-Stevens Point owned the winner in seven of Friday's 13 events.

UW-Oshkosh will travel to Appleton for a dual meet against Lawrence University on Saturday (Jan. 4).
