Titans Have Six Winning Efforts During Loss To Warhawks
Mariah Marowsky was the winner in three events, Sydney Challoner two and Danielle Tesky one during UW-Oshkosh's 187-111 women's swimming & diving loss to UW-Whitewater on Saturday (Nov. 9) in Whitewater.
Marowsky won three freestyle events with her swims of 54.20 seconds at 100 yards, 1:58.32 at 200 and 5:20.54 at 500.
Challoner took first place with her times of 2:19.49 in the 200-yard butterfly and 2:36.31 in the 200-yard breaststroke. She also finished second in the 400-yard individual medley with a performance of 4:57.53.
Tesky totaled 196.88 points in capturing first place off the 1-meter diving board. She also added a second-place score of 175.88 off the 3-meter plank.
The Titans also received a second-place result of 1:02.61 in the 100-yard butterfly from Hannah Cunningham.
A trio of Titans, Rebecca Birriel, Jennifer Lutz and Allison Wucak, contributed a pair of third-place finishes.
Birriel swam to times of 1:15.56 in the 100- and 2:43.46 in the 200-yard breaststrokes while Lutz recorded times of 1:07.29 in the 100- and 2:22.74 in the 200-yard backstrokes. Wucak compiled diving scores of 154.80 in the 1-meter section and 148.05 in the 3-meter category.
UW-Oshkosh placed second in the 400-yard freestyle and third in the 400-yard medley relays with times of 3:50.88 and 4:24.65, respectively.
The Titans will participate at the Lawrence University Gene Davis Invitational next Saturday (Nov. 16) in Appleton.
