Pioneers Register Narrow Win Over Titans

Titans Sydney Challoner, Hannah Cunningham and Mariah Marowsky won two events apiece during UW-Oshkosh's 104.5-96.5 women's swimming & diving loss to Carroll University on Friday (Oct. 25) in Waukesha.

Challoner finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.22 and the 200-yard individual medley at 2:21.02 while Cunningham placed first in the 50-yard freestyle at 26.21 seconds and the 100-yard butterfly at 1:03.86. Cunningham shared the top performance in the 50-yard freestyle with Carroll University's Jordan Andrews.

Marowsky swam her way to victories of 1:59.55 in the 200- and 5:28.19 in the 500-yard freestyles.

UW-Oshkosh had a pair of second-place finishes as Rachel Jaworski and Jennifer Lutz recorded times of 58.14 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle and 2:06.69 in the 200-yard freestyle, respectively. Lutz also ranked third in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:06.11.

Titan Alyssa Hassel placed third in two events after registering times of 1:15.92 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 2:25.46 in the 200-yard individual medley.

UW-Oshkosh's Paige Betthauser added a third-place time of 20:32.77 in the 1,650-yard freestyle.

There was no diving competition held at the meet.

UW-Oshkosh is off until it travels to UW-Whitewater for a dual meet on Nov. 9.
