Titans Sink Vikings With Late Score

Anna Beckerleg's first career goal proved to be the match-winner as UW-Oshkosh topped North Park University, 1-0, on Saturday (Sept. 14) in Chicago, Ill.

The Titans (1-4-1) picked up their first victory of the season after Beckerleg knocked one in with 10:31 remaining in the second half.

UW-Oshkosh controlled the contest, owning a 17-11 edge in shots and a 4-1 margin in corner kicks.

Amanda Baalke topped all players with four shots, including two on goal. The Vikings received three shots apiece from Katrina Dekirmendjian, Anika Johnson and Emma Lundeen.

Katie Berkopec recorded the shutout win with six saves. North Park's Katie Ibarra played all 90 minutes and stopped nine shots.

The Titans are now 4-0 against the Vikings in their four meetings since 2006.

UW-Oshkosh comes home for a match with Wartburg College (Iowa) on Sunday (Sept. 15) at Titan Stadium.
