Titans Dominate Meet With Pipers

Nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh owned five of the top-six scorers on the balance beam, uneven bars and vault to easily register a 188.825-181.200 women's gymnastics victory over Hamline University (Minn.) on Saturday (Feb. 15) in Kolf Sports Center.

The Titans swept the top five listings on the uneven bars as Baylee Tkaczuk won the event with a score of 9.625. UW-Oshkosh also had Trinity Sawyer and Rahdea Jarvis finish second with scores of 9.60, Emily Gilot fourth at 9.45 and Jessica Bernardo fifth at 9.35.

Gilot captured first place on the vault with her score of 9.55. UW-Oshkosh took the next three finishes as well as Haley Volstad placed second with a score of 9.425, Sawyer third at 9.375 and Jarvis fourth at 9.35. Titan Haley Minor finished sixth with a grade of 9.225.

On the balance beam, Kaira Hammond placed second for the Titans with her score of 9.475. Tkaczuk finished third with a score of 9.425 while Olivia Keller and Paige Mayhew listed fourth at 9.375 and Rachel Morris sixth at 9.35.

UW-Oshkosh's third individual victory came from Keller in the floor exercise. She won the event with a season-high score of 9.65 while Sawyer finished second at 9.60 and Jarvis third at 9.55.

The Titans did not have a competitor in the all-around competition.

Hamline University received its two individual wins from Madeline Sowinski on the balance beam and Tisana Lowe in the all-around competition. Sowinski had a score of 9.55 while Lowe accumulated a result of 36.10.

UW-Oshkosh, ranked third in the Division III Rating Index compiled by RoadToNationals.com, earned its overall team score with 47.625 points on the uneven bars, 47.275 in the floor exercise, 47.00 on the balance beam and 46.925 on the vault.

11th-ranked Hamline University had event scores of 46.60 in the floor exercise, 45.225 on the vault, 44.925 on the balance beam and 44.45 on the uneven bars.

UW-Oshkosh will visit 15th-ranked UW-Eau Claire on Friday (Feb. 21).
