Titans Prevail Over Blue Devils

Krystal Walker took first place in three categories and Kimberly Robertson one to lead the UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics team to a 183.025-181.450 victory over UW-Stout on Friday (Feb. 20) in Menomonie.

Walker won the all-around competition with 37.475 points. Her score included first-place values of 9.575 points in the floor exercise and 9.50 on the balance beam. She also finished third on the vault with a figure of 9.275.

Robertson marked a season-best 9.45 points on the vault to earn the event's top ranking. She also shared fifth place with UW-Oshkosh's Taylor Ennocenti in the floor exercise with a score of 9.20.

UW-Oshkosh's Amanda McBrayer finished second in three events, all with a season-best performance. She recorded scores of 9.40 on the vault, 9.375 on the balance beam and 9.30 on the uneven bars.

The Titans' Elizabeth Kiel contributed a pair of top-six finishes. She placed fourth on the balance beam with a season-best 9.25 points and sixth on the uneven bars with 9.05.

UW-Oshkosh's Danielle Turner finished third in the floor exercise with 9.325 points while Leane Blais and Tabitha Dorshorst shared fifth place on the balance beam with 9.075.

UW-Stout's Sara Perez took first place on the uneven bars with a score of 9.40.

UW-Oshkosh formed its overall team score with values of 46.275 on the balance beam, 46.00 on the vault, 45.475 on the uneven bars and 45.275 in the floor exercise. It was fifth time in six meets that the Titans surpassed a team score of 181 points.

The Blue Devils' reached their overall team score with figures of 46.075 on the vault, 45.775 in the floor exercise, 45.700 on the uneven bars and 43.90 on the balance beam.

UW-Oshkosh is off until it travels to UW-Whitewater for a dual meet on Feb. 28.
