Priebe Collects WIAC Golfer Of The Week Award

The WIAC chose UW-Oshkosh's Kayla Priebe as its Women's Golfer of the Week for events held Sept. 19-25.

Priebe ranked third among 96 golfers to help UW-Oshkosh finish second at the UW-Whitewater Invitational held Sept. 23-24 in Delavan.

Priebe totaled 155 strokes (9-over-par) by posting 18-hole scores of 76 strokes on the first day of competition and 79 on the second. She was UW-Oshkosh's highest finisher in the meet.

Allie Girard of Lake Forest College (Ill.) nipped Sarah Lyman of Carthage College, 153-154, for the individual title.

Carthage College captured the team title with 633 strokes (49-over-par). UW-Oshkosh earned second place among the 15 teams and its highest finish at the tournament since 2005 with 645 strokes (61-over-par).

Priebe was also named the league's Golfer of the Week for meets held Sept. 3-4.
