Paul Paces Titans In Victory Over Green Knights

Freshman McKenzie Paul shot a 79 in her collegiate debut to lead the UW-Oshkosh women's golf team past St. Norbert College on Saturday (Aug. 31) at the Oshkosh Country Club.

The Titans won their season-opening meet by a score of 366-381. Paul's round, which was 12 shots better than any other competitor, ranks as one of the best by a UW-Oshkosh golfer at the Oshkosh Country Club. The par-73 course played to a length of 5,812 yards.

UW-Oshkosh also counted Sarah Sheldon's 94, which was the third-best score of the day. The Titans' Samantha Kuik finished sixth with 96 strokes, Emily Mallek seventh with 97 and Taylor Wenzel ninth with 99.

St. Norbert College was led by the 91 shots from Kelley Kletti. The Green Knights' team total also featured rounds of 95 from Taylor Debski and Lauren Roethlisberger, along with a 100 by Kylie Swoboda.

The Titans host the eight-team UW-Oshkosh Invitational next weekend (Sept. 7-8) at the Oshkosh Country Club.
